The Victoria Regia, the symbolic flower of the region, is found in shallow lakes and is better known as Victoria Regia, a name given by the English naturalist Lindley in honor of Queen Victoria of England. It is the most famous Amazonian plant, and its leaves, shaped like large green trays, can reach up to 2.5 meters in circumference with edges 5 to 10 cm high, allowing it to support up to 12 kg. They have thorns, and their flowers change color during their brief existence, which lasts approximately 3 days, going from yellowish-white on the first day to a pinkish hue on the second, reaching lilac on the third day.
